How's business?

I've been languishing at the bottom of a nowhere hut for a while, waiting to be pushed back down to 200, so my sales haven't been great. Whic reminds me, when I get time I need to update my numbers...

EDIT - Looks like I'll be participating in a 4mil nb ad. I'm going to try it out for a couple of weeks and see how I go...

Is there something special going on today? My hits are 100 above average and I had my first 100k day in a while. Oh and I got 15 hits from my island hut, something I was pretty chuffed about. Our mall also ranks significantly higher today than it has recently. Did something change?

Edit--I also have 15 hits in the "Other" Category. And I've no idea where they're from.

Well. I'm at the top of an excellent hut. I think I've been around first or second all day. I'll have a look around and see if there are other good huts represented.

wow! Xa has over 300 hits (and an overall ranking of 58!!) and I have 250+ hits.

Looks pretty good, guys. LOts of tops, and almost as good is all the hut bottoms. (I didn't check for good/red/big hut quality.)

but bottom in island is frequently changed to top because it's so volatile there. You could be spending half the day in top and you wouldn't know it!

exactly! if half of us are at top and half at bottom, there's a chance that when the tops drop down, the bottoms are pulled back to top.

Five shops in the top (almost) hundred, and two at about 400 hits!

I've been in and out of hut top all week, and the nice thing about my spot is if I fall out of one hut, the next one is red too, and almost as good a location. I think there are a couple others in good spots too, so the mall-effect is beginning to pay off these days.

[edit to add] And now I've checked my sales - 71 items so far, including 6 additions while I was typing the bit above.

I've certainly been noticing the flow-on sales. Thank you!! I'll be able to make some more upgrades before too long

Yesterday was probably the best day I had so far.

Today I've done like 250k

Might just be my best day ever. Or it's up there anyway...

I hope I manage to stay awake to post the final stats, but that's unlikely, so I'm including everyone's spot at 8 pm NST. Pretty decent numbers, guys! Hope your shops have lots of goodies for sale, cuz the fishing's good today.

We almost have everyone over 100 for the first time.

I'm seeing more hut hits than I have in a long time, and more hits generally

Well, my final hits yesterday was 509. It looks like the top shops then hit a plateau in the morning, while our mall goes slow in the AM, and then goes nuts in the PM. Interesting.

Did anyone else have an awesome sales day today? I did about 2X the business

The past two days have been pretty good, not great.

I may have lost some sales though because I'm behind on replenishing my shop. Still getting my computer set up, and lots of overtime at work cutting into play-time.

Things were sluggish today until the very end when one gal came in and 31 items later doubled my sales.

Doncha just want to give those customers a little neohug!

Things have been slow recently; I'm trying a NB ad (one of Jaspeh's, she mailed me out of the blue asking if I would fill in for 200k on Sweets/Treats). We'll see how it goes. I'll probably add a couple of specials to my shop before the peak.

GL with it Roby. Business is slow here too. And I just haven't had time to put any new specials up. I've been exhausted lately.

Same conclusion reached: Not worth it. I got about 50 hits, paid 200k. That's 4k per hit. A hit is worth in terms of profit about 500np so I would have needed at least 400 hits to make this worthwhile.

Well, at least you tried, Roby. I had to myself, cuz I was curious, but I won't bother again with paying for ads. There's just not enough traffic anymore on the site, I think.

I haven't properly stocked my shop all September. Still selling some every day, but it's deadly slow. Still, I figure I'm doing better in a mall with you guys than I would be on my own, and I think that's probably true for us all.
